Daily Baloney

Just a test here. Daily observations - not that I'd inflict them on anyone.
It's still snowing like crazy here. Beautiful - but getting a little tedious. I'm glad this is February, though, and not November, otherwise the ordeal of slogging through this stuff would stretch out before us for several months yet. As it is...not so long till spring.

Yesterday on my woods-walk I saw at least 15 does all bedded down about a hundred feet away. I knew they were there, they knew I was there, I knew THEY knew...etc. Everyone trying to be nonchalant. I hiked on, watching them out of the corner of my eye. I was afraid if I stopped, they would consider me more of a threat and would bolt. As it is - it was all very casual. And for once - damn it - I didn't have a camera or cell phone with me. Perhaps I'll see them there again in the next few days and I'll be better prepared. A very cool experience.
